Health Tips - A great way to better health

1. Recommended Reading: Eat Right for your Blood Type by Dr. James D'Adamo, N.D. Learn why knowing your specific blood type and avoiding foods that may be irritating your gut can help alleviate allergies and poor health.

2. The gastrointestinal tract is crucial for one's immune system and health maintenance. In the past year, this company has done more to educate and assist people with allergies, acid/base balance and increasing fruits/vegetables/greens in our diet. 4. Drink water with a higher alkaline Ph. You can go to Bristol Farms and purchase either Evamor or Trinity water (ask for the one with the highest Ph of 9.0-9.5).

5. Add Clark's Colloidal Minerals to your juice or water in the morning. Your body will immediately utilize this fantastic product because it is in a colloid form, meaning, your body will utilize it at the right time and in the right quantity when needed. You can go directly to Clark's Health Food Stores or call your local health food store to make sure they carry it. Be sure to refrigerate it after usage.

6. Use a good multivitamin daily.

7. Exercise at least 3 times per week, cardiovascularly, and twice a week to build strength with weights or resistance exercises. Dr. Kerew, D.C. works with many personal trainers, should you need support in this area.

8. Consume more protein and fewer carbohydrates. For carbohydrates, eat more fruits and vegetables. Learn which are best for you in Dr. D'Adamo's book mentioned above.

9. Use an anti-oxidant every day.

10. Use a Liver/Kidney/Lymph tonic yearly as part of an organ cleansing program. A good product is the Heel Homeopathic Detoxification Program which is usually available at a homeopathic pharmacy.

11. We recommend a parasite cleanse once per year with monitoring by a professional. Dr. Kerew, D.C. works with many qualified Naturopathic, Acupuncture and Homeopathic doctors who specialize in this area of cleansing.


 
 

Sleeping:

The best way to sleep is either on your back with a pillow under your knees or on your side with a pillow between your knees. You can use any type of pillow under or between your knees. To support the curvature of your neck, we recommend Sobagara, (available through our office). Sobagara is filled with buckwheat so it is long lasting and holds its shape. I have used the same buckwheat pillow for seven years, yet it is as if I bought it yesterday.

Unlike feather, foam, down, or nylon, buckwheat does not deform. It literally feels like a sand pillow at the beach. Here is a picture of the buckwheat pillow we carry at our office. It has a washable pillowcase and you can remove some of the buckwheat if you feel your pillow is too hard. This pillow sells like hotcakes and they really make a difference in how you feel when you wake up in the morning. Please note the position of the model in this photograph. When you sleep on your side, try to put your arm out to the side so you are not crushing or impinging your shoulder. This will make a difference for those suffering with headaches, shoulder, or neck/radicular pain that goes from the neck down to the fingers.
